Call Waiting is where a user can be on a call on their device, with another call ringing in the background, waiting to get answered. This can sometimes be annoying if you are someone with a high volume of inbound calls, so this article will show you how to turn off or silence the second call showing through on your device.
Please note - this behaviour only occurs when a caller has passed through a Dial widget.
If a caller passes through a Queue setup, Jet's system will recognise the caller is busy, and will not route the call to this user until they are available again.
More information on Queues can be found here: Understanding your Queue Setup
Disable on mobile apps
In your Jet Phone App, open Settings, then choose Preferences. Under Incoming Call, toggle Disable Call Waiting on or off as desired.
Silence on desktop apps
For the desktop apps, there is no way to disable a second call coming through your device, but you can turn off the notification sound for this type of call.
Please follow the steps below to put this notification type on silent.
Use your Jet Jet Phone App menu to open Preferences then navigate to Alerts. Find the sound alert for Call Waiting and uncheck this option.
You will now have these events come through as silent.
