In April 2013, Google made a significant change to keyword visibility, increasing search user’s protection and privacy by adding SSL encryption on search ad clicks and withholding keyword data to third parties.
While these changes do not affect your ability to report on keywords in Google Analytics, it affects the Jet Interactive capability to collect the keywords and display them on the Jet Portal Reports. However, to overcome this challenge you can use ValueTrack keyword tag.
This implementation guide will walk you through the process of tagging your Google Ads campaigns with Jet’s ValueTrack Keyword Tag so you can take the most out of our keywords directly in the Jet Portal.
ValueTrack Keyword Tag Installation
There are a few different methods you can use to apply a ValueTrack Keyword Tag to your Google Ads Campaigns depending on which campaigns you want to target:

Setup the ValueTrack Keyword Tag at the Ad Level – You can use this method if you want to apply the ValueTrack Keyword Tag only to specific Ads. This will require you to change every Ad individually.

Setup the ValueTrack Keyword Tag at the AdGroup Level - You can use this method if you want to apply the ValueTrack Keyword Tag only to specific AdGroup Ads not all of them. This will automatically apply the Tag to all the Ads of those AdGroups without requiring you to change every Ad individually.

Setup the ValueTrack Keyword Tag at the Account Level - You can use this method if you want to apply the ValueTrack Keyword Tag to all the Ads in your Google Ads Account. This is the quickest method to roll out ValueTrack for all your campaigns.
The sections below will explain in detail the steps required for each method.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Applying the ValueTrack Keyword Tag at any level – except at the ad level – won't send your ad through the approval process: your ad will continue to serve, uninterrupted.

Pre-Requisites
Before starting the ValueTrack Keyword Tag installation please ensure you have Auto-Tagging enabled. To check it is enabled or not please follow the steps below:

Sign in to your Google Ads account

Click the Campaigns tab
-
Click on the option Shared Library in the left panel and then URL Options
-
Verify that the Auto-tagging option is marked as Yes
Setup the ValueTrack Keyword at the Ad Level
If you only want to apply the Jet’s ValueTrack Keyword Tag to specific Ads, please follow the steps below:

Sign in to your Google Ads account

Click the Ads tab
-
Locate the Ads that you want to apply the ValueTrack Keyword Tag

Click the Edit button on the Ad
-
Append ?jvt_k={keyword} to the end of the Landing Page URL.

Click Save
-
Repeat steps 1 to 6 for each Ad.
Setup ValueTrack Keyword Tag at the AdGroup Level
If you to apply the Jet’s ValueTrack Keyword Tag to all the Ads of specific Ad Group, please follow the steps below:

Sign in to your Google Ads account

Click the Ad groups tab
-
Locate the Ad Groups that you want to apply the ValueTrack Keyword Tag and select them. You can select multiple Ad Groups at once.

Click the Edit button and then Change URL Options.

Ensure that the action is Set URL options and then copy and paste {lpurl}?jvt_k={keyword} into the Tracking Template Field and leave the Customer Parameters blank.

Click Make Changes.
Setup ValueTrack Keyword Tag and the Account Level
If you want to apply the Jet’s ValueTrack Keyword Tag to all the Ads of an Account, please follow the steps below:

Sign in to your Google Ads account

Click the Campaigns tab
-
Click on the option Shared Library in the left panel and then URL Options
-
Click the Edit button next to the Tracking Template and paste {lpurl}?jvt_k={keyword}

Click Test and then Save.
Test the ValueTrack Keyword Tag
After you have installed the ValueTrack Keyword Tag you can test if the changes have been successfully applied.

Go to Google and search by one of your paid keywords that relate with Ads that now have the ValueTrack Keyword Tag

Click on the link and confirm that your landing page tag now include the jvt_k tag along with the paid keyword related with your ad.
