Let's get started!
Add your GA4 Integration in Jet Hub
Speak to the Jet team to get the GA4 Integration added to your account.
Once this has been added, a new menu option called Integrations will be visible in your account menu.
Click Integration Selection, and choose Google Analytics.
Click Add Integration. Leave this window in your browser open while you complete the next step in a different tab.
Setting up your GA4 Integration
Add your Data Stream Measurement ID
To set up your GA4 integration, you will need to know the Measurement ID of your Data Stream. Follow the steps below to locate this information.
Step 1 - Open Google Analytics and navigate to your GA4 property.
Hint - your GA Universal Property ID starts with "UA-" but a GA4 property ID will be a numbers only.
Step 2 - Select Admin.
Step 3 - Choose Data Streams.
Step 4 - If you have not yet set up a Data Stream for your website, please do so by following the steps in Google's support centre.
If your Data Stream is set up, click the more info arrow to the right of your Web stream.
Step 5 - select the Copy option next to your measurement ID.
(Leave this browser tab open, you will use this again later.)
Step 6 - Go back to your Jet Hub page with your GA4 integration open and click Add Configuration.
Step 7 - Choose your Website Tracking Code. This will usually be "WT" followed by your account number.
If you see multiple options, please contact Jet Support to confirm which option to use.
Step 8 - Enter the measurement ID that you copied in Step 5.
Do not close this page or click save, leave your window open and move to the next step to generate your API Secret code.
Create an API Secret
Step 1 - Head back to your open tab for GA4. Under your Data Stream settings, choose Measurement Protocol API secrets.
Click Create.
Step 2 - Give your API secret a descriptive name.
Step 3 - Select COPY next to the Secret Value.
(Leave this browser tab open, you will use this again later.)
Step 4 - Return to your Jet Hub tab with your integration and paste this API Secret value into the final field.
Press Save.
Create a Jet Call Event
Now that your integration is set up to post to your preferred GA4 property, we need to configure your Jet Call events.
Follow the steps below to set this up.
Step 1 - Under your Data Stream settings, select Create custom events.
Click Create.
Step 2 - Name the custom event 'jet_call', and set the conditions to be when the 'event_name' equals 'jet_call'. Leave the copy parameters box checked.
Your setup should look exactly the same as the image below:
Click Create.
You will now see your Custom event listed as shown in the image below.
Finalising Setup
Your GA4 integration will take 24 hours to be active on Google's systems. After this time, you will see your data begin to appear, although this will be backdated to the time you added the integration.
You can use the Web Session Calls report in Jet Hub to see the calls that should be passed through, and match this to your Events in GA4 to confirm this is online.
